Politieke instabiliteit en couppogingen

De politieke crisis in de Filippijnen, die na de verkiezingen in 2004 begon, duurt nog steeds voort. De regering van president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo wordt geteisterd door schandalen en de geruchten over op handen zijde couppogingen zijn niet van de lucht. Hieronder een aantal achtergrondverhalen en analyses (in het Nederlands en het Engels) over de ontwikkelingen, sinds juli 2003 toen een groep jonge militaire officieren een serieuze couppoging ondernamen.
